Super Easy Lemonade!

Hello people! Hope you enjoyed the sunshine this weekend! What did you guys do today? I saw a lot of people outside enjoying the sunshine like we did while the weather was so blissful! It's August tomorrow and I really can't believe how fast the year is flying by. (Can you?) It feels like it was only yesterday when I first started this blog!

Anyway, Tom and I went for a picnic in Victoria park this afternoon with our lovely friends (her and her) and Tom's mum. I made a little surprise for them which is a perfect way to enjoy a hot sunny day - Handmade Lemonade! (Super easy!)

All you need is
3  lemons
140g  sugar
1L water
Mint leaves (if you have some)
(I used Perrier sparkling water instead. Delicious.)
Here is the recipe and you can make it within 10 mins! Brilliant.

I had some time before they turned up so I also made my own labels for bottles! These are the pictures from Japan when they all came over for our wedding. It was such a hot day and looking at these pictures takes me right back to that time!

 "I love you guys!"

Apart from enjoying food and drink what else do you do when you go for a picnic? That's right, it's frisbee time!

Have a great week everyone!

PS I am soooooo excited about Cariad Lloyd, my sister in law, who is now up in Edinburgh Festival for her brilliant comedy show. Here is a review by the Guardian! Amazing! x

2 Years Since

Hey guys, hope you are having a great start to the week. Exactly 2 years ago today, on a sunny Saturday morning, Tom and I got married in Hackney Town Hall. Yes, it's our 2nd wedding anniversary today! Well, we actually had two weddings, one in London one in Japan and today is our official annivesary which is the London wedding. I am so grateful that we have each other in our lives and I am also looking forward to sharing our future together.

To celebrate our 2nd anniversary, the amazing Clem and Mark Ward from awardweddings offered us a photoshoot last weekend. It was such a nice way to celebrate and we had so much fun! I am so excited to share with you some of their great photos. Here are some more.

Have a lovely week everyone!

Rainy day lunch

Hi my friends, hope you are having fun this rainy weekend. How do you spend your time when it's pouring outside like this weekend? I just like to watch the world go by in the rain but it's also a perfect day just to stay indoors and have some fun cooking!

I had my lovely friend Yoko come over and since it was raining SO much outside she offered to cook something for lunch. She is an amazing cook so I instantly knew it was going to be a fun and tasty afternoon! Here is what she made, Cabbage rolls. It's so easy yet delicious and great for a cold rainy afternoon! My mouth is watering just writing about it.

Makes about 10 rolls
minced beef  300g
onion  1/2
egg   1
cabbage   10 leaves
bacon   10 slices
chicken or veggie stock
nutmeg 1 tbsp and bay leaves 2-3 (If you have some)

1. Make the stuffing. Mix the minced beef and an egg and finely sliced onion in a bowl. Season it with salt and pepper and nutmeg (if you have some)
2. Roll it. Wrap up the stuffing with a boiled cabbage leave.
3. Roll it again with a bacon.
4. Cook it. Place all the rolled cabbage in a pan. Pour some water and some chicken or veggie stock and some bay leaves if you have. Cook it for 20-30 mins. (the longer you can cook the tenderer it gets.)
5. Enjoy!

You might not believe it but she even cooked some scones for dessert.
Isn't she amazing? I wouldn't mind rainy weekends anymore!
Have a great Sunday!

Not always perfect

Hello guys, hope you are having a great summer weekend. Ever since I started my blog, one of the things I always do intentionally is to keep this my blog space happy and jolly. I want this my little space fun and enjoyable, where I keep something I love, something inspiring and something I find lovely and pretty. So I always try to keep away any moaning or nagging.

But at the same time I don't want to seem happy everyday and I don't want to pretend that my life is always fun because it's not. I do have bad days, I do get annoyed/stressed/tired/grumpy (I get very angry and cry and shout too!) and sometimes I feel like everything is going wrong!

What do you do when you are having a bad day? What keeps you going? I haven't done any creative stuff this weekend but it seems to me that even when I am down and all I want to do is to cry, the more things I make or more pictures I take, or more posts I write, the happier it makes me feel and it helps me get through my day.

Even if your weekend hasn't been perfect either I hope you all have a great week!

Tweet tweet!

Hello folks, hope you have been blessed with the sunshine over the weekend! It's been wonderfully sunny and hot in London. This weekend I made something with one of my favourite materials - felt!  It's fun, colourful, cheap and easy to handle, and I just like the softness of it!

Here is something I made this weekend -  a little birdy brooch!

It's so simple to make!
Just cut some felt into whatever shape you like and just glue it together!
You can even glue a brooch pin on the back if you don't fancy sewing it on.

Here is the day of Miss birdy in snap shots!

Sunbathing on flowers out in the garden..

Browsing more flowers in the market...

Having a rest enjoying a tea and cake...

Resting on blue hydrangea thinking about the busy week ahead...

Now she is back where she should be!
Have a great week people!
